Reflexology is a type of bodywork that focuses on applying pressure to the specific nerve zones in your feet. Unlike other foot massages that intend to mostly relieve tension in the feet themselves, reflexology is a far more in-depth science that aims to harmonize your entire body. According to reflexology, every part of the human body is mapped into the feet. Reflexology treatments have been found to be highly effective for conditions such as allergies, headaches, and depression. *Reflexology was taught to me at FLSM by one of the best souls on our planet.... Eric Pettigrew, LMT. In 2010, he taught me the incredible value of using a specific, methodical approach of influencing change in the human body and how to direct one's intention of energy towards the state of another human being. I hope to teach his method to as many people wanting to learn as possible.
Hot Stone Therapy is when heated stones are placed at specific sites on your body to deepen relaxation and promote circulation in your muscles. Muscles that are heated with these stones release tension and stress much more deeply and quickly than with a traditional massage. The overall experience is very relaxing, nurturing, and rejuvenating. *This is an Add-on treatment and can be added to any duration during the booking process. It is important to add this when booking so the stones are at their proper temperature when you arrive.
Medical Massage
Medical Massage is performed with the intent of improving conditions or pathologies that have been diagnosed by a physician; a wide variety of modalities or procedures are utilized to focus the treatment based on the diagnosed condition. Modalities that are often considered part of Medical Massage include: Neuromuscular therapy, CranioSacral Therapy (CST), Myofascial release, Lymphatic drainage, Massage for Cancer Patients, Orthopedic massage, etc.
Medical Massage was a fundamental part of my education. Medical Massage, Sports Massage and Myofascial Release / Connective Tissue Therapy, and Neuromuscular Therapy were taught to me during my time at FLSM by Ryan Flowers, who is now Dr. Ryan Flowers. His patience and attention to detail, his use of repetition and detailed explanations were awe inspiring. I continue to be grateful for his lessons.
Myofascial Release / Connective Tissue Therapy is a modality with techniques used to treat injuries and discomfort and to aim at realigning the musculoskeletal system, to reduce pain and increasing range of motion. Myofascial Release differs from massage and other types of bodywork in that it targets the fascia - the membrane surrounding muscles - rather than the muscle itself. Since fascia completely encases every muscle, tendon, ligament and organ in the body, imbalances in the fascia can have serious effects on not only your range of motion and comfort level but on your entire well-being. While other forms of massage can overlook the fascia, myofascial massage focuses specifically on releasing tension in this important membrane.
Swedish
Swedish Massage is a very relaxing and therapeutic style of bodywork. It combines oils or lotion with an array of strokes such as rolling, kneading, and percussion to help the body improve its circulation. The benefits of this type of bodywork are wide-ranging and include relief from aches and pains, decreased stress levels in the body, enhanced mental clarity, improved appearance, and greater flexibility.

These ®️Liroma lamps stay at a comfortable distance away from your skin and the heat can be adjusted to your level of comfort. Clear communication is important. Do not be shy to tell me if you feel or think that its too hot. I will keep the Infrared light on the chosen area(s) for 10 to 20 minutes while I work elsewhere. I will then begin to work this pretreated area with the lights on for an additional 10 minutes and then continue with the IRL lamps off . Protection glasses are provided. This is an Add-on service and can be added into any duration booked. You may also request added time for only the Infrared light therapy either before and or after your bodywork session.

Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation
Let's break this down....
Proprioceptive
..... Proprioception is the perception or awareness of the position or movement of the body in space. To perceive where we are and how we're moving in that space.
1.) relating to stimuli that are produced and perceived within an organism, especially those connected with the position and movement of the body.
Neuromuscular
2.) relating to nerves and muscles.
Note:
....Nerves are the communication pathways between the brain to every part of the body.
Facilitation
3.) the enhancement of the response of a neuron to a stimulus following prior stimulation.
Note:
....In others words. Facilitation: To facilitate is to make an action or process easier.
Now let's pull it back together.
...., Propriocetive Neuromuscular Facilitation = The Awareness during Facilitating the Communication between the Muscle and the Nerves. Either from the muscles to the nerves or from the nerves to the muscle.
To facilitate the way our propriocetors communicate to the brain during contraction, relaxation, resistance, stretching, and range of motion.

Trigger Point Therapy
Polarity Therapy
Polarity therapy is a type of bodywork which is focused on the energy fields of the body, rather than the physical body itself. This type of body work is also called energy work, because the practitioner attempts to adjust the imbalance energy fields of the body and bring them into balance. A polarity therapy session involves breathwork, light tough and rocking, the therapist and client usually work together in a very calm, relaxed environment.
